Richard Wolf
Senior Vice President, Telecommunications & Network Origination Services, ABC Broadcast Operations & Engineering

Mr. Wolf is responsible for operational and financial management for the collection of video and associated broadcast audio, voice and data communications for the programmers of the ABC Television Network (e.g., ABC Daytime, ABC Entertainment, ABC News, and ABC Sports) and for distribution of the ABC Television Network to its 225 broadcast affiliates

Mr. Wolf is a 22-year veteran at ABC and has held a number of positions at ABC Broadcast Operations & Engineering, including, Telecommunications Planning Manager, Manager, New York Traffic Operations, General Manager Telecommunications Operations and Director, Telecommunications. He has held his present position, Vice President Telecommunications & Distribution Services, since March of 1997.

From Digital Satellite NewsGathering (DSNG) to the implementation of a file based content distribution system for the ABC News affiliate service, NewsOne, to the digital connectivity required to connect Times Square Studios to the ABC New York Broadcast Center for ABC’s Good Morning America program, Mr. Wolf continues to lead ABC’s origination, transport and distribution business requirements to digital systems and processes.

Prior to working at The ABC Television Network, Mr. Wolf worked at RCA American Communications (now GE American Communications) as a TV Network Controller and at Hughes Television Network where he held the position of Manager, Communications Services.
