Michael K Tippets
President & COO, Helius

Mike Tippets joined Helius in 2003 with a background in Business and Technology. Prior to joining Helius he held positions at SonicWALL, Novell, Sprint and WordPerfect. Mike has been working in the technology industry since receiving a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in 1988. During his career he has worked in customer support, product-testing, product-marketing, sales, business development, and as a consultant. Mike has been the Chief Technology Officer until his appointment as President and Chief Operating Officer for Helius, Inc.

Through his years of experience in the technology industry, Mike has worked with products from many aspects. He has worked directly with customers, developers, internal sales, and with the channel. Mike is experienced in identifying customer needs and matching up the appropriate technology to fulfill those needs. Mike’s ability to clarify the value of a product or solution to a non-technical business audience is well established. His understanding of the technology mixed with a solid business background allows him to bring these two areas together to explain business values for technology solutions.

In his current role Mike is guiding Helius, a leading provider of IP video solutions, as they continue to deliver industry leading digital signage, training and learning and corporate communication solutions.

Mike and his wife Angie have been married for 17 years and they have 5 children. Mike enjoys golfing and spending time with his family.
