SATCON EVENT INTRODUCES NEW CONTENT AND MARKETING ALLIANCES AT ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN NEW YORK
Satellite Industry Association (SIA), and Space News Among Highlights as Show Continues Tradition of Bringing Together the Industry’s Best and Brightest
TRUMBULL, CT – (February 25, 2010) – Entering its ninth year as the premier event focusing on satellite and content delivery applications for end-users, the SATCON Conference & Expo once again hosts the industry’s finest from October 13-14, 2010 at the Javits Convention Center in New York. Building on the already strong program that gathers suppliers, buyers and experts from every corner of the industry, organizers have upped the ante in terms of resources and networking opportunities by joining forces with the Satellite Industry Association (SIA) and Space News to bring even more value to conference goers.
As a platform to explore the rapidly changing satellite communications environment, SATCON is a trusted resource for end-user industry professionals to get the latest solutions, strategies and tactics needed to succeed in their business efforts. Attracting national and international military, government and civilian professionals, the show’s new partnerships stand as a testament to its presence in the market and dedication to its attendees.
As part of these offerings, attendees will be treated to an entirely new series of panels on best practices, capabilities and advancements in the relationship between satellite communication and government and military entities, developed by the SIA.
“SIA is delighted to partner with JD Events and SATCON to launch a new series of government panels at the 2010 show,” said SIA President Patricia Cooper. “SIA is committed to enriching the dialogue between the satellite community and its military and civilian government customers. Adding to SATCON’s existing focus on the latest satellite technology and cutting edge policy issues will certainly enhance that goal.”
For its part, Space News will partner with SATCON on new content and co-marketing initiatives both pre-show and during the conference.
“At Space News, our goal is to not only provide news on our industry, but serve as a forum where our audience can listen and learn from true decision makers,” said Bill Klanke, Vice President & General Manager, Space News International. “Sharing this mentality with SATCON is what makes the alliance so exciting for us, and promising for this industry. Together we can expand on the show’s platform for education and innovation."
SATCON continues to expand on partnerships with key industry organizations like the Mobile Satellite Users Association (MSUA) who will not only continue to promote the conference to its membership in 2010 but will also develop sessions at the event specifically addressing mobile satellite applications.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with these organizations to bring SATCON to the next level,” explains Michael Driscoll, Vice President and Event Director for the event. “Working with experts, like SIA, Space News, MSUA and all of our key partners adds to the size and scope of our conference program and delivers tremendous value to our attendees as a result.”
SATCON is part of the Content & Communication World (CCW), event and attendees will have access to exhibits and seminars for all that CCW has to offer, including HD World, 3D World, and the New Media Technology Pavilion, with one conference pass. The combined CCW exhibit floor features hundreds of leading solution providers, allowing business and technology executives to learn new strategies and see new technologies in action.
