Satellite Interference-Mitigation Forum

CNN and the World Broadcasting Union's International Satellite Operations Group present a Satellite Interference-Mitigation Forum, organized jointly by GVF and SUIRG.

This year, the organizers of SATCON are pleased to announce a special event on a topic of great importance – a day-long meeting to help prevent satellite signal theft and interference. On October 12, the day before SATCON, from 9 - 5 p.m., CNN and the World Broadcasting Union's - International Satellite Operations Group will host a Satellite Interference-Mitigation Forum. Organized jointly by GVF, the Global VSAT Forum and SUIRG, the Satellite Users Interference Reduction Group, this complimentary event will provide an opportunity to learn about the latest solutions being applied to improve quality of service and reduce operational costs.

The satellite communications industry has experienced a global escalation of signal theft and interference, which is adversely impacting broadcast and telecommunication services. The problem is attributable to numerous sources of interference, each of which calls for a different solution. The Satellite User community has requested urgent action in dealing with this major issue, and the satellite industry continues to answer that call.

Seating will be limited, so be sure to reserve a place for your organization today at http://www.gvf.org, http://www.suirg.org or http://www.worldbroadcastingunions.org.
